The Obesity Action Coalition
The Obesity Action Coalition (OAC) is the ONLY non-profit organization whose sole focus is representing individuals affected by obesity. The OAC remains at the forefront of the fight against obesity since 2005. From being politically active and fighting for access to obesity treatments to publishing hundreds of educational resources for individuals affected, the OAC truly represents the voice of all those affected by obesity. Today, more than 93 million Americans are affected by obesity. The OAC helps to raise awareness of the disease of obesity, ensure access to safe and effective treatment options and eradicate the negative bias and stigma associated with it. The OAC offers:
- Educational information on obesity including brochures, articles, and statistics.
- Advocacy and political support for change on Capitol Hill.
- Information on obesity treatments and locations of support groups.
